This year Easter in the Orthodox Church coincides with our Easter. The date in the last week of April means spring should already be visible.
You travel through southern Poland and spend the Easter Holidays in Kiew. Apart from sightseeing the Ukrainian capital, a church mass and the traditional Easter feast are scheduled as well as an excursion into the countryside.
The next highlight is the stop in Saporoshje, known for its Kosak culture. You will not only hear about these warriors invited by Ivan the Terrible to guard the borders in the museum but also visit one of the legendary displays of their successors. A more technical show is the large Dnepr dam not far from the city.
We spend ten days on the Crimean peninsular, where we travel the southern coast from Feodossija to Sebastopol. It is a spectacular journey along the coast with Sudak, Jalta, Alupka and Sebastopol to be seen. Bachtschisarai, the Khans palace, offers everything necessary for a fairy tale out of 1001 nights.
From the pearl of the Black Sea we move on to Odessa. From here we travel through Moldova, known for its wine. A little idle, a little sleepy but full of its original charm and re-known for its joie de vivre.
The circle closes in L’viv, from Przeworsk you may travel home individually or with new friends.
