Summer At Last
Dear Perestroika Friends,
Summer at last! We can hardly believe it ourselves, but this weekend the thermometer touched the 30°C for the first time this year. This is the ideal time to come for a short stay to our campsite in the Hunsrück and to enjoy some holidays at the lakeside.
What’s New?
We are still fine-tuning our catalogue which is due in your post box in the first half of August. As soon as all tour dates are fixed you will find them on our website.
„South-East Asia – Singapore“ had our full attention this week, as a small caravan led by Eberhard and Lyssi Utz headed off east. We wish them a good and interesting journey on this trip of a lifetime. There are still places available on the return trip „Sichuan-Chinese Silk Road“.
As the Jubilee Tour was such a success there will be a short trip to Belarus in late August, led by Peter and Lutzi. “To the Beginnings of Perestroika Tours” We head of to Brest, Minsk and Vilnius and meet our host from various tours.
That was something for the spontaneous ones. If you like to plan well ahead we can recommend now the tour to the Persian Gulf. Tour start is November 24th; destinations are Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and more. The tour is now led by our most capable Helmut and Maria Purner.
Well prepared will be those going with Birgit und Dieter Schmieder. They will not head so far but at least it will be warmer than home and a touch of Orient is also included: Christmas and the New Year in Tunisia.
Contact us if you have questions, info requests and comments, or simply check out our website www.mir-tours.de
See you soon.

Dear Clients and Friends,
spring is nearing at last and its time to satisfy that urge to travel. Therefore we send you a quick update about our upcoming trips.
Of the tours taking place in June we would like to recommend the “One Week in St. Petersburg“. This tour offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the city of the tsars inside out with some unique programmes.
More rural are these trips: Peter Wallas is taking on the new route through „Russian Karelia“ and Birgit and Dieter Schmieder will lead the way to the “Midnight Sun” once again. Anyone interested should hurry up as there are already a fair number of bookings.
For all those who have little time there are still place in our shorter trips „One Week“ in Belarus or the Kaliningrad Region. These trips are the ideal opportunity to get to know the people and the pasture.
You still have questions? Want to know more? Stopp at Camping Schinderhannes for the next information day on April 10th.
Our campsite has quite something to offer this spring. Come down Easter Sunday for Brunch in the Restaurant or stop by Whitsunday when our chef Henry treats us to foods from his native India.
A Happy Easter from all of us here at Hausbay
Dear Perestroika Friends,
In China they say „Drill you well before you’re thirsty“.
In the next days the CMT in Stuttgart starts, so from January 16th to 24th there is plenty opportunity to hear about old and new destinations.
At stand A14 in hall 7 there will be the tour guide Eberhard Utz at your disposal to talk about the „Sichuan–Silk Road“ trip which is intended as a return tour for those travelling on “South East Asia-Singapore”.
Whether you come to the exhibition, wait for the next info days in April or not: Book one of the last places on the top-tours: Morocco, To the Country of the Skipetars, or In the Shine of the Midnight Sun.
Travel to our classic destinations, Moscow, St. Petersburg or the Ukraine. Nature combined with interesting programmes can be found on the 3-week trip to Karelia or on the 3-month tour to Lake Baikal and Mongolia.
For late summer there is Caucasus-Anatolia or can we take you name down for the winter. Available will be the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa.

We have just given the thumbs up on the North Africa Tour. Anyone still interested should make their mind up soon since the pre-tour briefing is in early January.
For travellers to China there is good news. Thanks to the good contacts of our local touring partner participants older than 70 may get a driving license again. This does not only apply to the Marco Polo but also the Singapore Tour.
More tours have been allocated:
The Schmieder couple will be taking care of the „Durch das Land der Skipetaren“.
Both trips „Moskau-St. Petersburg“ as well as „Weiße Nächte in St. Petersburg“ will be taken care of by one of the most experienced people on this route. Dana Lemeziene and her husband Vitautas look forward to introducing you to the Western Russia and the Baltic States.
