Why do we need medical statement for certain tours?

We ask you to sign a statement confirming that you have spoken to your physician about the planned trip and that there are no medical objections. This concerns trips that go to tropical and hot regions with strenuous traffic conditions (India, Asia) or when travelling in higher mountain areas.
