The Volksbund has made it their task to find and maintain German war graves. Simply make a request giving all the information you posses about the person in question. Within a few weeks you will get a reply. This service is free of charge; they will ask you to make a donation, which is at your discretion. 

There is also the possibility to become a member, the minimum fee for this is € 6,00
